What kind of clients do you work with?
All. I can’t emphasize that enough. All. Everything from tiny mom-and-pops to large corporations…with an A-Z of business types as well, ranging from small, local service providers up to large, multi-state manufacturers.
What is the time commitment?
It depends on the job. If I’m coordinating financing for you, then the job ends once your financing is secure and your loan is closed. If I’m providing a professional skill set, such as serving as a temporary CFO, then the duration depends on your needs. Every job has unique time requirements.
Will you judge me for mistakes I've made with my business?
Absolutely not. I’m here to help, not judge. While I will be honest and direct with you to get you on track, my number one motivation is getting you excited about your business again.
We ran into trouble when IDOT condemned our property and essentially closed down our business. Dave believed in us when no one else did and helped structure our debt to give us new life while we went through the process of starting our next chapter. We now have a new, thriving business and couldn’t have done it without him. I will always be grateful for Dave taking a chance on us.

Dave Lahl, our former banker, came on board as a temporary CFO while our company was opening its second facility in another state. Dave was tasked with, and successfully fulfilled, a host of initiatives, including an out-of-state grant acquisition; securing state incentives such as major tax relief; and arranging the real estate, equipment, and line-of-credit loans for our new facility. The enthusiasm Dave showed toward our business was very encouraging, but what we appreciated most about working with Dave was his ability to cut through the red tape, keep everyone on track and deliver the expected results…and then some.
I know how to read things and I know what things to say. However, Dave is my security blanket. I know that he has our best interest in mind and, with his experience, I’m glad he’s part of our team.
